If you and/or your organization are committed to the success of renewable energy in the Midwest, you should join the Alliance.
Our membership is structured so that organizations and individuals have choices based on their financial resources and interests in the Alliance.
Both corporations and individuals have three options:
Sustaining members - $5,000
Sustaining members provide the financial lifeblood for our work promoting renewable energy. Sustaining members have the broadest membership rights. Each pays $5,000 a year in dues and can vote at the annual meeting to elect the nine-member board and on committees. A majority of the board is reserved for sustaining members. Corporations or other entities that become sustaining members appoint representatives to sit in their stead on committees and the board.
Sponsors - $1,000
Sponsors - often retailers with interests in renewable energy - are eligible to vote for board members at the annual meeting and can sit on the board and Alliance committees with full voting powers. They pay annual dues of $1,000. Corporations or other entities that become sustaining members appoint representatives to sit in their stead on committees and the board.
Friends and faculty members - $100
Friends and faculty members pay nominal $100 annual dues that can qualify them for membership on the board and committees, access to legislative, educational and training materials and invitations to the Alliance’s periodic seminars and annual meetings.
Sustaining members, sponsors and friends/faculty members should complete the form provided, but print and mail it with the appropriate check to the headquarters for Midwest Alliance for Renewable Energy, P.O. Box 772, Jefferson City, MO 65102.
If you have questions about the alliance or its programs, please contact the staff at (573) 636-4572.
Students - no charge
The Alliance also encourages full-time students to join at no charge because we are dedicated to educating the public about the benefits of renewable energy. Students have access to the reference library on the Web and our newsletters.
Students can join the Alliance simply by filling out the Internet form and submitting it electronically; please note the university attended.
