The Midwest Alliance for Renewable Energy (MARE) is a nonprofit trade association that brings together the region’s renewable energy industry as an effective advocacy community.
Investments in renewable energy technologies help generate tremendous economic development opportunities in rural, agricultural areas of the country, enabling farmers and landowners to grow a reliable new “cash crop.”
Together, our members support state-level policies that harness the Midwest’s abundant renewable energy and energy efficiency resources. The Alliance maintains effective relationships with all levels of government and increases public awareness of the “here and now” contribution of renewables. The alliance also educates the public about the need to ensure our economic and environmental security and aggressively promotes the use of renewable energy and the increase of our electric transmission capacity.
Headquartered in Jefferson City, MO, the association works with policymakers around the country, including Missouri, Nebraska, Kansas, Arkansas and Oklahoma.
Join us and help Mid-America increase its independence from foreign sources of energy!
MARE's executive director is Phil Wright, a longtime governmental relations consultant in Missouri.
The alliance has headquarters located in the heart of Missouri's historic riverside capital, at 106 E. High St. Our mailing address is MARE, P.O. Box 772, Jefferson City, MO 65102. To submit comments or ask us a question, send us an e-mail. You can also reach us by phone at (573) 636-4572.
